Tickets for a limited distance
- Weekly tickets.
- Quarterly season tickets.
- Ticket for war veterans.
- Ticket for ENR staff (working on maintenance and operation).
- 50% discounted tickets for members of the police and the armed forces,journalists
children (4 to 10 years), and for the blind and their colleagues.

Interchange between Lines 1 and 2 can be made at Mubarak and Sadat stations using the same ticket for
travel within the number of stations permissible on the ticket. - Season tickets can be obtained at the following stations
El Marg, Ain Shams, Hadayek El Zeitoun, Saray El- Kobba, Mubarak, Orabi, El Sadat, El Sayeda Zeinab,
Saad Zaghlol, Dar El Salam, Helwan, Shubra El- Kheima,Koleyet El Zeraah, El Khalafawi, Rod El-Farag, Massarra, El Attaba, El Dokki, Cairo University

All tickets have a magnetic strip with invisible data with the date and the number of stations allowed and are printed with the cost of the ticket.

The public are advised to keep the tickets with them in a good condition because damaged tickets can not be used.

- Line 2 makes use of a third rail to provide the traction power to the rolling stock. Access to the tracks by the public is not allowed for their safety.
- There are escalators in every station on Line 2 at for Shubra El Kheima and Cairo University.
- There are elevators to transport the disabled from street level to the platforms at all Line 2 stations except Sadat, Mubarak, El Mazallat, and Shubra El-Kheima.
- Keep clear of the doors after boarding the trains and do not try to board after hearing the door closing warning.
- Take care on the escalators to ensure your own safety and that of other users.
